Goodbye January.

Last month, i was stucking with my frustration. I just couldn't move on. However, I went out and used music therapy, so i felt much better. Life needs a Move some time.

Anyway, let's talk about this week movie. It's the Walt Disney's production Enchanted. The story is very very interesting as there is a combination beween the world of cartoon and reality. Gisell is an adorable cartoon coming out to the world of reality and she experiences the true love, realistic one, with Robert who is a man of a doughter. They both fall in love without knowing it. Thogh both of them have a special one but they still find it not so true. They finally end up sharing their life together and live happily EVER AFTER. The movie semi-musical and all the songs sound very beautiful, especailly So Close in the ball Event that both have a chance to dance together. I really like the song.

Now, let's be academic. The language point i learn from the movie is mostly in the songs. The language use in them are very beautiful and meaningful. Also, i come to listen to what the characters sing and i find i can learn a lot from the songs, especailly choices of words like we can select some small words which have great meanings to compose in a song. For example, Too close decribes about the relationship between the main characters that they are so close that they actually deeply feel they are very far. It is because each doesn't know what the other is thinking. See? Too close can say a lot for the meaning of the characters' feelings. I also get good chance to learn how to listen to English songs effectively like know the words' meanings and sing good songs as well.

The food for thought in the movie that i personally get is that there are only two words in this world; YES and NO. Therefore we don't have to highly expect something, especially LOVE, just let it go.

The movie have been on for a few weeks, so please go check it out. You will find that True love is not just in a Movie-it's around you if you just open your maind.

Babye and welcome to the month of LOVE.

Halloooooo......

This week movie is interesting as always. The movie is The day after tomorrow.

This week I feel a lot about the world. The weather is unpredictable-how could it rain or warm in winter time. This brings me to watch the movie since I hope that it would give me some kind of global awareness.

After the movie, it happens to me that if I don't have tomorrow, what would I do now? I am very much impressed with how great the movie creates the predicted future. Now, it unexpectedly turns out that the world is totally changing like in the movie. In Iraq, there is an ever first snowing, inspite of desert country. Oh, what about Thailand? I think it does show some signs like fogging or mis-seasoning. The movie should be in theaters again to prove what it has been said true.

Anyway, the world is changing but i have to still have my mission, listening improvement, completed. The most interesting point of this movie is that i learn a lot about the words in the meteorology and geography. Because the movie uses a lot of academic languages, i get to learn more about new words and sentences. For example, one professor gives a speech about the causes making the world change, and he says Globalization breaks barriers and at the same time creates some chain reaction that fastens the destruction of the earth. From the sentence before, it makes me so interested in the words Globalization and Chain Reaction that i have to go look up and study the real meaning of the words. After learning about the new words, i just hope that i would have some chance to use it in the near future. That is just a small example of how i can make use about language in movie watching.

Before i farewell, i think teachers in schools today should teach both class knowledge and also outside one like the problem of the world like environmental isue or wars. I see that most of Thai students now focus only on the books and technology stuffs, not the world where they are living on.

Babye. I 'll be seeing you next week with the new movie. Just check the movie out and you'll see you'll change some attitude in yourself. I bet!

Good times!

This week is very good. I did a lot of good activities.

I went to teach my student for the first time. I went biking at a park. I get good news about my mid-term exam results. Most importaly, I learn that in one life, we have a lot to do-life is just much better if we make a move.

Now, back to my mission for this week, I had a great chance to check out Elizabeth the Golden Age in the theatre. The movie is very impressive. I like the settings-scenes in England in the old days. Also, I like the costumes of the characters which are very unique and gorgeous. The most I give my thumb up is that the ability to perform of the main character, Queen Elizabeth, who is calm outside but frustrated inside- the staring person must be very professional because it makes me believe how the character feel and think.

I would talk a bit about the movie. Queen Elizabeth is the leader of England at the time that spanish was invading the country. She tries to take control the situation by showing how great she is that she can lead the country to the victory of the war of Spain. However, nobody knows that the queen is just like other human beings. She deeply feels scared of the war and she also falls in love with one adventurer, Sir Raleigh. She also needs someone to talk to and to rely on when she is down. Fortunately, nature power is on her side. There is a heavy sea storm ,during the war between England and Spain,  which makes Spain's ships uncontrolable and sink. At last, England defeat the war. This situation makes Elizabeth more respectable and incomparable as if she is the only female leader who is in the front of the world row. Though she succeeds in the world of duties but for the love ones she does not at all. From my point of view, the movie ends with some food for thought that noone is perfect even the great queen of the world.

The language point I learn from the movie are the words that the dynasty level uses and the original British accent. I like the way the Queen speaks. For example, when she wants to kill someone, she just say one sentence "I shall not see your face again." Then the person told will immediately killed by her knights. Also, I understand more about the root of English history and society-cultural aspects. Now, I just can tell that I love British-accent. Movies make me find out more about what I like and broaden my visions very much.

I would like to adjust my study plan. I will move to listen to the songs instead of movie in February because I think that I have made a qualified listener of movie watching so far. I grade my listening skill 90 percent now( from the begining, it was graded around 60%, so I have made big improvement). Next movie will be more inteeresting I guess.

ENGLISH is all around, just listen!

Have a nice time, Babye!

Hooray! This week is a week of holidays, so I will have plenty of times to do things i want to. By the way, writing about my listening mission is one of those things i have to get done as well as improve my English skill. The movie i watch this week is Perfect Catch. It is a very good movie ever! The plot is simple and also the characters are but the meaning of the movie is undescribably valuable. It is all about the love of your lover and the love of your hobby-what do you prefer? The main character Ben, at the very beginning, is so crazy about the Red Socks Baseball Team that he does not have enough time for his lover, Linz. However, he eventually finds that he gets nothing from the baseball team but  true love from his sweetheart. This is a good lesson for all couples in the world that sometimes we should take good care of people living with us much more than something that has no life-we should not ignore the one who loves us before it is too late.

From the movie, what I learn about listening skill are the words used in the baseball field such as strike meaning the player makes an uncatchable hit. I also learn about the couple, lover-to -lover, name-calling words like sweetie, honey or darling. And the word i like most is Dingdong which means yes. Most importantly, I find that i love the movie that is not big but gives good food for thoughts. I still am firm in my words that watching movie really helps makes my English better and better every time because I learn a lot about English knowledge like words, slangs and idioms and also other cultural aspects like manners in society that Americans do or say.

Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you have a good time for this long holidays. Babye and see you next week!

Happy New Year 2008! i am going to make a brand new start for my self. i am going to make a better, stronger and calmer man. I think i can do it! By the way, i will have some routine assignment to do which is improving my lisening skill. this New Year week, i watched two movies which are Legally Blonde 2 and Charley Angel. Both of them are very great! I would like to first talk about Legally Blonde 2. What i learn from the movie is that people always take small things in their life for granted. For example, we hardly look and consider of the cosmetics we conduct-we just buy and use them, but how many people ask the questions like how am i gonna know that this cosmetic is safe for humans?, does it in the testing process? and what does it bring to test with? Humans, animals or whatever? The movie mainly talks about the blonde genious girl, Elle Woods, who cries for the right of little Chi-hua-huas, brought to use as cosmetic tests. It shows that every life has their right to live a normal life with no invasion from each other. The second movie is Charley Angel which is an action movie. I really enjoy the fighting scene which is very exciting. The food for thought i get form the movie is that three heads are better than one. The three Angels are compliment each other because they have different potententail. When they put their potential together, the mission they are assigned are well complete. I am sorry to talk much about that but i was really into the movies mood. I love watching movie more than before. The language point i learn is that the words, idioms and conversation used in the court from the movie Legally Blonde2. For example, if the court is out of control, the judge will say ' Order, Order' and hit the wooden hammer two times. From Charley Angel, I also learn how American people talk in current world situation and how they talk during the mission. For instance, when every member of the team agree to do something they will say 'Deal' before they start to do the mission. These are only a few examples from the movie. Oh, I have been practicing my listening skill through the movies for about a month and a half. I feel very good and I find it easier when i listen to English. I think the mission i set works very good and next time i will make my mission more challenging. I hope you have a good day. Last but not least, I feel deeply sad about the news of our HRN Galyani Vadhana's death. She is the great princess of Thailand who succeeds Somdejya's works and projects. I ,as a Thai, would make myself a good and quality citizen and i will live my life in a sufficiency-economic way. See you next week. Ba Bye.

Merry belated christmas! The movie for this festive time is The Wizard of Oz. The reason why i pick this movie is because i come across the name on TV. The movie is very classic and stiill popular for its uniqueness. Though the movie is long-time-ago-produced but i think it is always creative. It gives some food for thought for me that kids need imagination and attention. I like the character Scarecrow because he is very funny when he talks and walk. All the chracters speak British accent again, so i come to be very familiar and understanding with it. The movie is quite long so i have a break for a few times during the movie. For the language point, i learn about the words that people use in that age-the idioms and slangs are very different from today's use. One thing that I am very impressed is that how hard the producers try to make the movie very modern like using many techiniques to represent magical motion. I think the movie can still be reappear in today teather because it looks great in its techniques to make the movie life-like. All in all, I grade myself 84 percent successful and the rest 16 percent is about some points of the plot that i get confused. See ya next year 2008! Happy New Year! Byeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Oh, it is almost the end of the year. What have I done for this years? There are a lot. Well, let's talk about the movie mission for this week. Yesterday, I watch the movie Anna and The King. This movie is prohibitted to sell in Thailand but I have a good chance to get it from the US since my visit last summer. The movie talks about the teacher, Anna, who is from England coming to Thailand to teach the kids of the royal family. The story takes place in the period of King Rama the Fourtn-when the country opens for the development from the west. In order to develop the country, the king has the foreign teacher to teach his chidren to know about English. What happens is that the king falls in love with the teacher. I learn from the movie that love can happen anywhere, anytime and anyclass of people. Again, after the movie I learn that the language use is very difficult because the characters have to speak a fairly formal language. However, I learn many more new words which is very interesting and helpful when I read some English books about Thai history. I also get more familiar with British accent from the main character, so this makes me more understanding in the accent. From this listening mission i grade myself 80 percent because I understand almost of what the character say and i get the plot. What's more, I learn some Thai cultural aspects through English, though there is some misunderstanding in some scenes like the dressing of the king which is not quite exact to the real. All in all, I think movie is a good source to improve my English skills, especially listening, and the world knowledge as well. Have a nice day and see you next movie mission. Ja-nae!
